- Polisilk manufactures a texturized Polypropylene
yarn type "TASLAN" with the advantage of the lower specific weight of PP.
This allows lighter weaves with an equal covering or a more compact fabric with an equal
weight. At the same time, COSLAN offers a soft and smooth touch and look.
- It is used as a substitute for natural yarns like
cottons, flax, wool, etc...
- The main end uses are: upholstery, narrow fabrics,
cords, jersey type knitting, ...

PROPERTIES OF
"COSLAN" YARNS
- ABRASION RESISTANCE AND "PILING"
- Very good in both dry and humid conditions, above all
it does not produce "piling" being a continous yarn.
- DIRT RESISTANCE:
- Given its non-static and non-absorbant nature, it has
a high resistance to stains.
- ALLERGICAL REACTION:
- Because of its inert chemical nature it does not
produce any type of allergical reactions.
- ANTI.STATIC EFFECT:
- POLISILK yarn incorporates the suitable additives
which reduce to a minimum the coefficient electrical charge.
- RESISTANCE TO ADHESIVES:
- Repells all types of adhesives in cold conditions,
obtaining acceptable unions in hot conditions, of a HOT-MELT type.
- RESIN TREATMENT:
- Good results have been achieved with an aqueos
dispersion of synthetic resin.
- SERIGRAPHY:
- Good results have been achieved in the sherigraphy
field, with dyes that dilute in cyclosolone.
- PLASTICIEZED:
- It can be plasticized with PVC.
- THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY:
- Yarn has a very low thermal conductivity and a
highest degree of thermal insulation of all textile fibres.
